New Stellenbosch residential development linked to Eikestad Mall
A NEW CONTEMPORARY residential development is taking shape in the heart of Stellenbosch, with a direct link to the Eikestad Mall.
Andringa Walk will consist of 119 apartments, including bachelor, one-, two- and threebedroom units, and a f ew duplexes.
Pam Golding Properties (PGP) is marketing the apartments, which are priced from R1.4 million to R3.35m, including VAT, and PGP’S project manager for the development, Louise Varga, says construction is well under way.
“The site will include two floors of retail space, including Woolworths, a Food Lovers’ Market and a Virgin Active Gym. Andringa Walk’s ground floor and a large communal open garden are on the podium level, and the 30 apartments on this floor will have private gardens in addition to the communal space. A further two levels of apartments above these will have views of the surrounding mountains and vineyards.
“The units range in size from 33m to 123m2, and finishes include marble countertops and bathroom vanities. The building will have round the clock security with a 24hour concierge and its own lifts.”
Varga says the contemporary building has been designed to blend harmoniously with its heritage surroundings.
“There i s a s t r e e t c a f e atmosphere in the surrounding area, and residents will be able to tap into this environment and the convenience of living connected to a shopping mall. The university campus is just a few minutes’ walk away.”
PGP’S managing director for the Boland and Overberg, Annien Borg, says the developer, Abacus Asset Management, is committed to green building standards, including energy reduction, recycling of grey- and rainwater, and the use of natural light.
Parking spaces in the secure basement area are optional extras, and residents will also be able to rent storage space. Occupation is scheduled from next October.
