WESTERN CAPE Auctioneers will be holding three important auctions next week.
On Tuesday, December 6, at 11am, Western Cape Auctioneers will be presenting more than 200 pieces of furniture from two deceased estates at its auction house in Brackenfell. Items include a sleeper wood dining room table with eight chairs, outdoor 10-seater table with cane ar mchairs, f ive lounge suites, solid wood furniture pieces and two households of crockery, cutlery, collectables, paintings and artwork. Viewing will take place on Monday.
“WCA has held regular furniture auctions every Tuesday throughout the year, with more than 300 pieces on the floor each week and 80 to 150 people attending the auctions,” says Stefan Olivier of Western Cape Au c t i o n e e r s . “We h a v e expanded our portfolio with these furniture auctions, after being catering equipment specialist for the past 12 years. Although this furniture auction house has only been open for just over a year, there has been tremendous interest from auctiongoers.”
On Wednesday, at 11am, Western Cape Auctioneers will present the first of two catering equipment auctions for the week in Grassy Park, at the 7 Eleven Convenience store in Srandfontein Road, Pelican Park. The complete contents of the supermarket will be for sale with all equipment falling under the hammer, including steel shop shelving, stainless steel tables, cash registers and more.
Olivier says the equipment has been cleaned and serviced regularly, and is in good condition. Items include 14 glass door walk- in beverage cold rooms, sliding door glass-top island freezers, large chest freezers, a complete bakery with a Mini Matic Livanos bread oven, 80lt spiral dough mixer, Record bun divider and Macadams bread moulder. The items for sale can be viewed on Tuesday.
On Thursday, the Western Cape Auctioneers team will take to the auction floor for the third time this week with a restaurant and catering equipment auction at the WCA auction house in Brackenfell.
“This is not only an auction of the assets of three restaurants to be sold, it is also a milestone for the catering auction team, surpassing the previous year’s record of 107 Western Cape restaurant auctions,” says Olivier.
Among the more than 250 items for sale are undercounter bar fridges, single- and double -door beverage coolers, cold room and freezer rooms, restaurant tables and chairs. Olivier says although all equipment is sold voetstoots, the auction team will assist prospective buyers who want to view the items for sale by answering any questions and plugging in electrical equipment to ensure everything is in working order.
Westen Cape Auctioneers’ last catering auction for the year will take place on December 15.
