Upgrades and new branding for Communicare’s five life right villages

Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition) - - PROPERTY -

COMMUNICARE’S five life right retirement villages in the Cape Peninsula are undergoing selective upgrades and, from this month, will be known collectively as Cape Retirement Lifestyles, a branding that will give the division a separate identity within the structure of the 82-year-old company.

“The Communicare product range is diverse, and serves broad residential needs,” says Communicare managing director Chris Mathias.

“We are known for being the biggest private provider of social housing in the Western Cape, but we are also very much involved in the development and sale of high-quality new homes and attractive retirement apartments.

“For this reason, the Communicare board decided to brand its divisions individually so that each could serve its market from the platform of an appropriate and distinctive image.

“The branding, Cape Retirement Lifestyles, evokes the essence of the product provided by the life right division of the company and reflects the planning and care that go into the villages.”

The five life right retirement villages comprise more than 300 units throughout the Cape Peninsula, maintaining a consistently high quality level in attractive suburbs. Services offered in most of the villages, some of which are in Cape Town’s more up-market areas, include manned security, servicing of units, meals, leisure a c t i vi t i e s a nd c o mmunal spaces.

Proper t i e s i n t he Cape Retirement Lifestyles collection are Rosehaven Gardens in Durbanville, where there are 46 units; The Rathfelder in Diep River, which has 94 units; nearby Trianon, with 86 units, some with views over the Constantiaberg; and Thornton Place, next to Pinelands, which provides 45 one- and two-bedroom cottages in quiet, leafy streets.

The company’s f l agship retirement property is Berghof, a luxury apartment quarter with 62 units, in Gardens on the slopes of Table Mountain.

“Cape Retirement Lifestyles is now appropriately branded to appeal to its market sector and evoke the very attractive nature of our villages aimed at people who have worked hard during their lives and are looki ng f or quality retirement homes,” says Mathias.
