Designer home sold for R12.5m
A PLATINUM- RATED property fell under the Claremart Auction Group hammer during its platinum residential property auction at the Mount Nelson Hotel on November 30.
The property, referred to as “an ideal director’s home or an exclusive holiday home for the ocean lover,” by sales director Farrell Perling, was sold for R12.5 million.
He says this spectacular home was a legal matter with instructions received by a local attorney acting on behalf of an African businessman who has a large property portfolio in South Africa and who has recently relocated to Europe.
“The Tuscan-style four-bed- room house at 4B Avenue Marina, Bantry Bay has spectacular sea and mountain views,” says Perling.
“Avenue Marina is off Kloof Road, close to Table Mountain and the City Bowl.”
“The platinum residential auction was filled to capacity and 4B Avenue Marina was a property that drew particular interest during the extensive marketing and publicity campaigns. There were four serious bidders, resulting in the R12.5m closing bid.”
