Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition) - - SPORT -

THE South African women’s hockey team were narrowly beaten by World Champions Argentina 2- 1, in the teams’ second match of the Four Nations tournament in Parana, Argentina.

The goals came from Rosario Luchetti for Argentina in the 14th minute, and SA captain Marsha Marescia seven minutes after the break, before Daniela Sruoga grabbed the winner 11 minutes from full time.

It leaves South Africa and India in a must-win clash today to decide who will be Argentina’s opponents in the next round. – Sapa
