Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition) - - GOODSTYLE -

Helpless and hopeless at being single, Cal is taken in by Jacob for a makeover and guidance in ladykilling.

The rest is mostly predictable – will Cal ever love again? Will Jacob give up his womanising ways?

But the witty, grown-up script manages a few surprises, making HORRIBLE BOSSES THIS comedy is sure to be beloved by anyone who has despised their employer enough to contemplate plotting their demise.

Friends Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) and Dale (Charlie Day) work for thoroughly unlikeable (but amusing) bosses.

With the help of a dodgy ex-con, Motherf*****r Jones (Jamie Foxx), they concoct a seemingly flawless scheme to murder their respective bosses.

The cast – especially the bosses, played by Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell and Jennifer Aniston – all deliver great performances, but the script never manages to take the movie to the level of comedy genius its premise deserves. – Dennis Cavernelis
