Hearty way to celebrate soup and soetes
THE BREEDEKLOOF Soetes and Soup festival takes place next Friday and Saturday.
Visitors buy their R50 passes at the first winery they visit, giving them free mugs of warming country soup at each cellar taking part, along with wine-tastings – and the mug and glass.
Du Toitskloof Wines will offer roasted mushroom soup and mealie and chicken chowder. Roosterkoek will be on sale.
Prices of the jerepigo and the muscadel will be discounted.
