THE BREEDEK­LOOF Soetes and Soup fes­ti­val takes place next Fri­day and Satur­day.

Vis­i­tors buy their R50 passes at the first win­ery they visit, giv­ing them free mugs of warm­ing coun­try soup at each cel­lar tak­ing part, along with wine-tast­ings – and the mug and glass.

Du Toit­skloof Wines will of­fer roasted mushroom soup and mealie and chicken chow­der. Roost­erkoek will be on sale.

Prices of the jerepigo and the mus­cadel will be dis­counted.
