This award-winning play by Australian Michael Gow is at Alexander Upstairs from Monday until Saturday, at 7pm. It is about a couple, played by Matt Newman and Genna Galloway, who believe that they have the perfect life and marriage but then they dog-sit Phoebe. That leads to events which challenges their relationship. Sweet Phoebe is a darkly witty, but poignant, exploration of this, which might make us feel better about our own lives”. Tickets are R80-R90 at www.shows.alexanderbar.co.za call 021 300 1652 or buy them at the venue. NOISES OFF. Michael Frayn’s 1982 farce is on at the Milnerton Playhouse from Thursday to December 12. The title of the play comes from the sounds that happen off-stage. It’s a play within a play and that leads to much hilarity. Tickets are R80 on 082 267 106.

FREESTYLE: Andile Vellem and Nadine McKenzie.
