‘Nemo’ a lifesaver for DeGeneres
LOS ANGELES: US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres said providing the voice for the absent-minded fish Dory in the 2003 hit Finding Nemo “saved her life” after three lean years out of work.
“I was thrilled that someone called me for anything,” the 58-year-old comedian told reporters in London on Monday. “It certainly saved my life in many ways.” DeGeneres has reprised the role of the chatty blue tang fish for the sequel, Finding Dory, which is released in Britain on July 29 and is on course to be the highest-grossing animated film in domestic box office history in the US. – Reuters
