Happy birthday, Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Enjoy the day with your family.

Happy birthday, Archbishop Tutu, may God bless you to see many more years. – Jolene Losper

In response to my recent SMSes, a senior traffic management official has contacted me to say that “powerful interests” which make money from our road carnage may have derailed road safety efforts and cost thousands of lives. I have often wondered why the huge petrol companies and insurance companies do not run campaigns demanding safe speed limits and jobs for the extra 100 000 traffic police the country needs for its 12 million vehicles. – Richard Benson, Road Safety Action Campaign

If the SAZF is a discredited organisation, so is the Palestine Solidarity Campaign with Terry Crawford Browne at the helm. This man concocts fantasies and spews them out from the top of his head. C Martin would be wise not to compare the long and complex history of the Middle East to RSA. Indigenous is not a word applicable to Palestinians, who are Arabs. Arabs are indigenous to Arabia, whereas Israel and later Palestine had different people wandering through for millennia.
