Says good­bye to Good Hope FM and ‘good morn­ing’ to KFM lis­ten­ers

“We’ve made sure this new line-up will max­imise that au­di­ence re­la­tion­ship and ap­peal to ex­ist­ing as well as new lis- ten­ers, while play­ing the best music mix,” said Tr­ish Tay­lor, chief ex­ec­u­tive of Pri­me­dia Broad­cast­ing in the Western Cape.

“The con­nec­tion with our lis­ten­ers is the most im­por­tant facet of a great ra­dio sta­tion.”

Barends and Simp­son will be joined on air by Si­bongile Mafu, who will pro­vide traf­fic up­dates as well as sports news.

Simp­son is ea­ger for the chal­lenge of his new job.

“Know­ing I’ll have Sher­lin and Sibs on the morn­ing show team is adding to that ex­cite­ment.

“There will be loads of laughs with these two and, even more im­por­tant, we’re go­ing to have a lot of fun with the awe­some peo­ple of the Cape,” he said.


Sher­lin Barends, 26, will co-host the new KFM break­fast show with Dar­ren “Whack­head” Simp­son from July 3.
