Baby left under bridge

A NEWBORN baby boy was found yesterday under the Duzi Bridge, near a canoe club, in Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said patrolling security members from B-Secure Security found the baby and alerted paramedics.

“Upon arrival, the paramedics found the security members warming the child,” Meiring said.

“It was reported that the child had suffered mild hypothermia.”

The child was treated before being transported to Edendale Provincial Hospital. – ANA
