KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian customs officials seized nearly 400kg of pangolin scales worth 5 million ringgit ( R15m) from Ghana. This brings the amount of confiscated pangolin scales to more than 1 000kg in two months

Customs officials said the scales were found in 16 boxes labelled oyster shells at the airport cargo warehouse on Thursday.

Pangolin scales are used in traditional medicine in parts of Asia.– AP
