We must all save water

Weekend Argus (Saturday Edition) - - FRONT PAGE -

WILBUR Smith and his wife have obviously not been keeping up with the seriousness of our water situation in the Western Cape.

Do they not know that we have been asked to use only 87 litres per day per person?

An average water bill of R2 000 to R4 000 is ridiculous. Since May we have turned off the municipal water supply to our two toilets, and carry buckets of “grey water” collected in containers from our laundry usage and from the shower, or we use the well-point water.

We all have to do our bit and save every drop of water possible – we know what the consequences will be if we don’t.

It isn’t a matter of money talks, it is a serious matter of no water in our taps come March.

If you can’t toe the line then I suggest you pack your bags and relocate.
