Mi­cro-liv­ing go­ing up in Wood­stock

CAPE Town is set to see the de­vel­op­ment of the first sta­teof-the-art mi­cro-liv­ing apart­ments in the city.

To be con­structed at 1 Al­bert Road in Wood­stock, the mi­cro two-bed­room units will range in size from 21m2 stu­dios to 75m2 and will fea­ture top-end ap­pli­ances, flat- screen smart TVs and fi­bre in­ter­net.

Rob Ste­fanutto, man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of Do­gon Group Prop­er­ties, says in ad­di­tion to 133 liv­ing units over seven floors, the de­vel­op­ment will have com­mu­nal recre­ational spa­ces, shops, a food court, laun­dro­mat and heated swim­ming pool.

“This new con­cep­tual de­sign in liv­ing, known as in­te­grated liv­ing so­lu­tions, in­cor­po­rates all the el­e­ments needed for in­ner-city liv­ing with­out hav­ing to leave the build­ing.”

De­signed by award-win­ning ar­chi­tect Louis Karol, 1 On Al­bert is si­t­u­ated on a MyCiTi bus route. The apart­ment in­te­ri­ors are de­signed by Grant Gillis of Delta In­te­ri­ors.

Prices range from R799 000 to R945 000, and in­clude trans­fer duty.
