LUNCH RETHINK

-

THINK ABOUT PORTIONING

When purchasing groceries like meats and vegetables, why not portion them to each meal seating. This will cut out the wastage of throwing away food that has been cooked two days ago.

THINK ABOUT GRILLING

Oven grill your vegetables and proteins as opposed to frying or stewing then. It’s healthier and cheaper because you use less oils and spices.

THINK ABOUT SAVING

Make lunch for one and not three. People tend to make more than they require for lunch, thus costing more.

In an oven tray place sliced brinjal, whole cherry tomatoes and chicken breast and grill in a preheated oven for 20 minutes. Once the chicken breast is cooked, remove from tray and allow it to cool before slicing.

Once sliced, add it back to the roasted vegetables and mix well so all the juices mix along with the chicken and vegetables.

Butter your bread and place chicken and vegetable mixture onto it. Add your washed rocket and close with the other slice of buttered bread.

Once done, wrap with cling wrap and pack it up for lunch in a few hours.
