Pizza oven a high­light at sale of su­per­mar­ket as­sets

WESTERN Cape Auc­tions has re­ceived in­struc­tion to auc­tion all the as­sets of a su­per­mar­ket, ex­clud­ing the stock, says auc­tion­eer Chris Baard.

“The su­per­mar­ket’s lease agree­ment has come to an end, and all the equip­ment has sub­se­quently been moved to our premises to be auc­tioned.”

The high­light of the event will be the sale of an Al­cat 2 con­veyor pizza oven in very good con­di­tion, which will en­able the new owner to start their own pizza out­let, Baard says.

“This unit was fully re­fur­bished a while ago by the agents in Cape Town.”

Baard says other items from the su­per­mar­ket in­clude an Ar­coboa dis­play is­land freezer; a 3m by 2.4m cold room; more than 50 me­tres of fairly new su­per­mar­ket shelv­ing in mint con­di­tion, in­clud­ing mag­a­zine and fruit shelv­ing, and end shelv­ing.

In ad­di­tion, there are four del­i­catessen up­right dis­play units in very good con­di­tion; and four glass-door cold drink fridges.

A point-of-sale sys­tem, a pop­corn ma­chine, a wrap­ping ma­chine, a 40-litre dough mixer, a meat slicer, a Kuhn bread slicer, pots, bain marie in­serts, an in­sect killer, bread bas­kets, a sin­gle deep pot sink, stain­less steel ta­bles, a mi­crowave, a split-unit air-con­di­tioner, two air cur­tains, two 6 500 kilo­watt gen­er­a­tors and a turn­stile will be among other items on the auc­tion floor.

Also on of­fer will be items sourced from a restau­rant and a clean­ing ser­vice busi­ness.

The restau­rant items will in­clude 11 white four-seater restau­rant ta­bles for out­door use; four fold-away four-seater ta­bles; 10 large restau­rant um­brel­las, with­out bases; sev­eral round ta­ble tops; five 2.8m-long up­hol­stered benches with high backs, and two that each mea­sure 1.m; and a 14-tray blast freezer, which is fully func­tional and has a new com­pres­sor.

Goods on of­fer from the clean­ing ser­vice busi­ness in­clude 22 mop trol­leys, two vac­uum clean­ers, a push sweeper, ser­vice trol­leys, hel­mets and other items.

The auc­tion will take place at 11am on Tues­day at Western Cape Auc­tions’ premises on “Klein Joost­en­berg” farm, which is on the R304 Stel­len­bosch/ Klipheuwel Road, just off the N1 high­way to­wards Stel­len­bosch.

The auc­tion as­sets may be viewed be­tween 10am and

2pm on Satur­day and Sun­day, and be­tween 10am and 4pm on Mon­day.

Baard says all items on of­fer will be sold “voet­stoots” and changes could be made to the list of as­sets with­out prior no­ti­fi­ca­tion.

Po­ten­tial bid­ders may reg­is­ter be­fore the auc­tion. A R2 000 re­fund­able de­posit will be payable by EFT or credit card, and no cash will be ac­cepted at the auc­tion.
