Bid for quality appliances
Bouncy ‘surprise element’ expected to generate interest
MORE than 400 lots of high quality household appliances and solid wooden furniture will go under the hammer in Bidway Auction House’s warehouse sale on September 30. The auction will be held at 11am at Bidway’s Woodstock premises.
On the auction floor will be more than 40 household fridges, ranging from combination fridge/freezers to side-by-side fridge/freezers, from leading manufacturers such as LG, Samsung, Defy and Hisense, says auctioneer Stef Olivier, who heads the auction house.
Other appliances to be sold include top-loader washing machines, front-loader washers and dryers, dishwashers, gas hobs, eye-level ovens and microwaves.
“One of the highlights of the auction will again be a range of Smeg household appliances, with more than 20 kettles, five-burner gas stoves, gas hobs and eye-level ovens among the many items available. These offerings have proved very popular with bidders at our previous auctions.
“The furniture lots will feature some special pieces, including solid yellowwood and blackwood dining room tables and chairs, buffet cabinets, coffee tables, side tables and lounge suites,” he says.
“Items like flat-screen
TVs, hifi sets, sound systems, laptops, cellphones and tablets will also be sold on the day.”
Olivier says several jumping castles will also be displayed and sold on the day, “adding a surprise element that I believe will generate a lot of attention.”
The auction items may be viewed between 9am and 4pm on September 29 at Bidway Auction House, 179 Albert Road, Woodstock.
The auction will be held at the same venue on the following day.
