YES, cheese re­ally is good for you, says a new study.

Eat­ing 40 grams a day – a match­box-sized por­tion – could re­duce your risk of heart at­tacks and strokes, ac­cord­ing to a re­cent study from Soo­chow Univer­sity in China.

Re­searchers an­a­lysed diet in­for­ma­tion from 20 000 peo­ple. Those who ate this amount of cheese had a 14% re­duced risk of car­dio­vas­cu­lar dis­ease and a 10% re­duced risk of stroke com­pared with those who rarely ate it.

It may be that cal­cium in cheese off­sets its “bad” fat con­tent by mak­ing sat­u­rated fat less di­gestible. – Daily Mail
