Eat cheese for heart health
YES, cheese really is good for you, says a new study.
Eating 40 grams a day – a matchbox-sized portion – could reduce your risk of heart attacks and strokes, according to a recent study from Soochow University in China.
Researchers analysed diet information from 20 000 people. Those who ate this amount of cheese had a 14% reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and a 10% reduced risk of stroke compared with those who rarely ate it.
It may be that calcium in cheese offsets its “bad” fat content by making saturated fat less digestible. – Daily Mail
