Malema tells crowd to be prepared

Weekend Argus (Sunday Edition) - - NEWS - SITHANDIWE VELAPHI

“COWARDS, drunkards and sissies” in the EFF must get out of the way for the party to be in government next year, EFF leader Julius Malema said at the party’s 5th anniversary celebrations at Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane yesterday.

Malema, speaking to an overflowing and jubilant crowd, lashed out at whom he called “sell-outs and nyaope smokers” in the EFF, saying they were planted to destabilise the organisation.

“Do not pretend to be with us if you are planted to destabilise this organisation.

“Those who were planted to sow divisions in this organisation have been removed. They are no longer smoking nyaope but whoonga,” Malema said.

He sent a stern warning to university students studying under free education to graduate and stop being “permanent residents” in the universities.

“You must learn and pass because failing is the same as wasteful expenditure and we do not want it.

“Stop drinking alcohol at universities, because we want educated people to take the EFF and this country forward,” said Malema.

He said the people campaigning for the EFF must position themselves as soldiers.

“We are going to war next year and we do not want cowards and sissies. If you are not registered to vote and campaign for EFF, you are a coward and we do not want you. We want fearless fighters,” Malema said.

He assured party enthusiasts that the EFF was the “government in waiting”.

“No matter the results

(of the election next year), coalition or not, EFF is going to be in government next year. We want you as municipal managers, heads of departments and directorsgeneral to start preparing yourselves for government positions,” Malema said.

He said the ANC “died in Qunu” with Nelson Mandela.

“The ANC of Mandela will never steal money from the poor.”

UDM leader Bantu Holomisa, who attended the anniversary, congratulated EFF and said they will continue to work together towards removing what he calls “thieves”.

The anniversary cake, in Malema’s words, was donated to Mdantsane’s Vukuhambe Special School for the Disabled.
