AfriForum gunning for EFF
AFRIFORUM says it has laid a charge of contempt of court against EFF leader Julius Malema over land occupations, “to teach him a lesson”.
Next week, the two parties are set to appear before the North Gauteng
High Court as the lobby group continues with its bid to ensure that Malema does not advocate for South Africans to invade private land. This comes as the organisation secured a warrant to seize Malema’s movable assets last week.
AfriForum chief executive Kallie
Kriel said they wanted to teach the EFF leadership a lesson. | Minister Michael Masutha signed the treaty, raising hopes the Guptas would be extradited.
On Wednesday, the department appeared before Parliament’s portfolio committee on justice and correctional services, where it presented the agreement. DA MP Steven Swart said there had been no political will from the previous administration to sign the agreement.
