Spice and laughter at tonight’s SAMA awards

Weekend Post (South Africa) - - NEWS -

With Tumi Morake and Somizi Mhlongo in the driver’s seat, you can expect a healthy serving of spice and loads of laughter at this weekend’s swanky South African Music Awards (SAMAs).

“I actually realised Somizi and I haven’t decided what we are not saying. Let’s just say I hope we don’t get into trouble. We haven’t censored ourselves‚” Morake said.

She said that SAMA organisers had not instructed them to stay away from anything.

But even though they plan to add a bit of chilli to the evening’s festivities‚ Morake said that they would not be unprofessional for shock’s sake.

The awards ceremony, which honours South African artists for their hard work, attracts some of Mzansi’s most famous faces.

Artists including Babes Wodumo‚ Kwesta and Kelly Khumalo are expected to set the stage on fire with explosive performances at the awards show, which will be broadcast live on SABC 1 at 8pm tonight. – TMG
