Pop-up supper club a flavourful affair
THE first edition of The Supper Club, a pop-up Port Elizabeth restaurant presenting different flavours to discerning foodies, launches tomorrow at Chicky’s Yard in the Baakens Valley.
Tomorrow’s event, dubbed “The First Supper Club”, will offer a three-course tasting menu with wine pairings by For The Love of Wine, a coffee bar by Ground Floor Cafe and live music from Emile Naidu and Lesedi Milongo.
Hosted by Food In PE in collaboration with chef Harald Greeff and Marina Sea Salt, the team behind The Supper Club plan to showcase the skills of some of Port Elizabeth’s most talented food wizards.
Tomorrow’s menu has been created by Greeff who has almost 10 years of experience in the food and hospitality industry. Greeff has worked at a few establishments in Stellenbosch, as well as a number of eateries in Port Elizabeth, including Friendly Stranger, Muse and The Boardwalk Hotel.
“The aim of The Supper Club is to showcase the best in PE’s food culture, all in one place,” says Kgosi Motsepe, manager of Food In PE.
Each guest will receive a gift bag and other partners include Manna Delights, Han-Made Ice Cream, Brickmaker’s Distilling Co and Angel Wings Ceramics.
Tickets are sold out for the first installment, but for more info on the next one contact Tayla Foong on 072-687-2778, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
