Pop-up sup­per club a flavour­ful af­fair

THE first edi­tion of The Sup­per Club, a pop-up Port El­iz­a­beth restau­rant pre­sent­ing dif­fer­ent flavours to dis­cern­ing food­ies, launches to­mor­row at Chicky’s Yard in the Baak­ens Val­ley.

To­mor­row’s event, dubbed “The First Sup­per Club”, will of­fer a three-course tast­ing menu with wine pair­ings by For The Love of Wine, a cof­fee bar by Ground Floor Cafe and live mu­sic from Emile Naidu and Lesedi Mi­longo.

Hosted by Food In PE in col­lab­o­ra­tion with chef Har­ald Gre­eff and Ma­rina Sea Salt, the team be­hind The Sup­per Club plan to show­case the skills of some of Port El­iz­a­beth’s most tal­ented food wizards.

To­mor­row’s menu has been cre­ated by Gre­eff who has al­most 10 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the food and hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try. Gre­eff has worked at a few es­tab­lish­ments in Stel­len­bosch, as well as a num­ber of eater­ies in Port El­iz­a­beth, in­clud­ing Friendly Stranger, Muse and The Board­walk Ho­tel.

“The aim of The Sup­per Club is to show­case the best in PE’s food cul­ture, all in one place,” says Kgosi Mot­sepe, man­ager of Food In PE.

Each guest will re­ceive a gift bag and other part­ners in­clude Manna De­lights, Han-Made Ice Cream, Brick­maker’s Dis­till­ing Co and An­gel Wings Ce­ram­ics.
