Clos­ing of ANC of­fice irks party

The ANC’s pro­vin­cial ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee has is­sued a stern warn­ing against its mem­bers who closed the Nel­son Man­dela Bay re­gional of­fice – Florence Matomela House.

ANC pro­vin­cial sec­re­tary Lu­lama Ngcukay­i­tobi said he was shocked and dis­gusted by the “hooli­gan­ism” dis­played by “peo­ple wear­ing ANC re­galia in clos­ing down the re­gional of­fices”.

The pro­vin­cial sec­re­tary said it re­fused to be threat­ened and dic­tated to by in­di­vid­u­als on how to run the move­ment and im­ple­ment its pro­grammes and cam­paigns.

Ngcukay­i­tobi said he was dis­turbed the re­gional ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee al­lowed “for­eign be­hav­iour”.

He urged the ANC REC to ap­ply the rules and take stern ac­tion against in­volved mem­bers and said such ac­tion could not go un­pun­ished.
