How could I influence scheduling?

Weekend Witness - - Opinion -

I REFER to the letter from Andile Songezo about venues for international cricket ( Weekend Witness, March 23). When the scheduling was done, the late Elise Lombard was still alive.

The new Titans CEO job was announced in January 2013. How was it possible for me to influence the scheduling since when it was done there was no vacancy at the Titans? Scheduling would have been done a long time before that. It is ridiculous to think that an international tour schedule could be influenced so late in the process or changed to benefit SuperSport Park.

I agree with Luke Alfred that Newlands is well looked after in terms of scheduling; rightly so because of the support and venue. To accuse me of favouring SuperSport Park is nonsense. JACQUES FAUL
