Clint & Co pay tribute to world’s greatest rock songs
THE Barnyard Theatre at Gateway in Umhlanga is staging one performance of CCR & Friends at 8 pm on Sunday, August 11.
The show is being staged by Clint & Co, who are well known for the their quality musicianship and Clint Cunningham’s raspy voice.
Having performed four sold-out shows of their Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute show at the venue last year, Cunningham decided that it was time to introduce some other rocking artists to the mix.
CCR & Friends is a musical revue that will feature some of the greatest rock songs from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Besides the obvious Creedence Clearwater Revival hits that one can expect, the repertoire includes some classics by Joe Cocker, U2, AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, Queen and The Commitments.
Showstoppers will include Cunningham’s rendition of Andrea Bocelli’s Time To Say Goodbye (in Italian), a phenomenal version of Dean Martin’s Volare, and Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. Tickets are R120 at 031 566 3045. Clint & Co will also be performing at the Winston Churchill Theatre in Pietermaritzburg tonight (August 10). For more information and to book phone Mark at 078 457 1369 or Cheryl at 076 662 5309.
