TO­DAY • Switched at Birth — M-Net Se­ries Show­case (DStv chan­nel), 7 pm: Two teenage girls dis­cover they were accidentally switched as new­borns. Bay Ken­nish grew up in a wealthy fam­ily with two par­ents and a brother, while Daphne Vasquez, who lost her hear­ing at an early age due to menin­gi­tis, grew up with a sin­gle mother in a work­ing-class neigh­bour­hood. When both fam­i­lies meet, they have to learn how to live to­gether for the sake of the girls. • Man­dela Day Con­cert — SABC3, 7.30 pm: A mu­sic con­cert, or­gan­ised by the Unite4Man­dela cam­paign. It aims to unite South Africans in cel- ebra­tion of Nel­son Man­dela’s vi­sion for sport as a uni­fy­ing force in so­ci­ety. The con­cert at the FNB Sta­dium will fea­ture a num­ber of top lo­cal and in­ter­na­tional artists. • Big Break Legacy — SABC2, 9 pm: Twelve con­tes­tants, in­clud­ing Ntokozo Biyela (36), a mo­bile-unit man­u­fac­turer from Dur­ban, will be fight­ing it out for a R5 mil­lion in­vest­ment into their busi­ness.

TO­MOR­ROW • Cen­trum Guardians — SABC3, 4.30 pm: In to­day’s show, view­ers can see How­ick Fire Sta­tion watch com­man­der Ronie Ndlovu, whose de­sire to save lives stopped a young woman from be­ing swept over a wa­ter­fall. The show also show­cases the fire­fight­ers from the Mey­er­ton Fire Sta­tion and med­i­cal per­son­nel from ER24, Net­care 911, Vaal Emer­gency Am­bu­lance Ser­vices and Gaut­eng Provin­cial Am­bu­lance Ser­vices, who were called to a bus ac­ci­dent in Mey­er­ton, in which 19 peo­ple died and 53 were in­jured. • Step Up Or Step Out — e.tv, 6.05 pm: The top six are tasked with telling a love story in dance. • Peo­ple of the South — SABC3, 8.30 pm: Dali Tambo in­ter­views KwaZulu-Na­tal Pre­mier Zweli Mkhize about his rise to the top spot in the prov­ince and his pre­cious Nguni cows.
