TODAY • Switched at Birth — M-Net Series Showcase (DStv channel), 7 pm: Two teenage girls discover they were accidentally switched as newborns. Bay Kennish grew up in a wealthy family with two parents and a brother, while Daphne Vasquez, who lost her hearing at an early age due to meningitis, grew up with a single mother in a working-class neighbourhood. When both families meet, they have to learn how to live together for the sake of the girls. • Mandela Day Concert — SABC3, 7.30 pm: A music concert, organised by the Unite4Mandela campaign. It aims to unite South Africans in cel- ebration of Nelson Mandela’s vision for sport as a unifying force in society. The concert at the FNB Stadium will feature a number of top local and international artists. • Big Break Legacy — SABC2, 9 pm: Twelve contestants, including Ntokozo Biyela (36), a mobile-unit manufacturer from Durban, will be fighting it out for a R5 million investment into their business.
TOMORROW • Centrum Guardians — SABC3, 4.30 pm: In today’s show, viewers can see Howick Fire Station watch commander Ronie Ndlovu, whose desire to save lives stopped a young woman from being swept over a waterfall. The show also showcases the firefighters from the Meyerton Fire Station and medical personnel from ER24, Netcare 911, Vaal Emergency Ambulance Services and Gauteng Provincial Ambulance Services, who were called to a bus accident in Meyerton, in which 19 people died and 53 were injured. • Step Up Or Step Out — e.tv, 6.05 pm: The top six are tasked with telling a love story in dance. • People of the South — SABC3, 8.30 pm: Dali Tambo interviews KwaZulu-Natal Premier Zweli Mkhize about his rise to the top spot in the province and his precious Nguni cows.
