HOW TO USE

Give big blooms space in a room’s scheme, otherwise you’ll risk creating a pattern clash that’s more ‘granny’s attic’ than ‘statement floral’. White walls will help to define large-scale blooms if you’re wary of too much pattern.

Shop for artwork to give a neutral scheme a big-bloom hit. Group three or four prints together for a gallery wall, or lean several along a picture ledge.

Hero wallpapers with big blooms need to be balanced with plains, but you can still go for colour and texture.

Big blooms are versatile – they can be fresh and vibrant or dark and moody; it’s all about the background colour. If you want to add drama, then look for black or navy, while white or cream makes florals really pop.

Cushion pickup – give a neutral couch a makeover with full-bloom scatters.
