WILL A MOLE GROW BACK AFTER THE DOCTOR REMOVES IT?

Women's Health (South Africa) - - ASK US ANYTHING -

ANSWER Unfortunately, it may if there are remnants of the mole unintentionally left in your skin – those cells can develop into a new mole. This is more likely to happen if your moles are “shaved” off rather than excised (meaning they’re cut out completely). Important: always have your removed moles tested for cellular abnormalities – these may indicate you are at risk for a cancerous growth and should have the mole area monitored regularly to protect yourself.
