Do What Works For You

Women's Health (South Africa) - - WE HEAR YOU -

When I first saw Women’s Health magazine, I was like “Wow, I’m sure that cover girl was born like that. Besides, this getting fit thing is so expensive and it’s no child’s play.” My definition of getting fit was once-off diets, which hardly ever worked. Suffering from knee-joint pains and feeling tired all the time, I decided to try get healthy and fit, not for anyone but myself and my health. I got myself a copy of WH and I was shocked at how easy exercising and eating healthy is and I realised that those cover girls worked for the bodies they have today. Never assume something is difficult until you try it. Today, I am down to 63kg from 71kg in seven months and my knee pains are a thing of the past! I’m glad I took the leap of faith and tried it out. Thank you for your easy-to-do exercises and healthyeating guidelines and for taking care of my selfesteem in the process. Phomelelo Windy Rathokolo, Pretoria future so that we can make informed decisions. There can be silver linings to some harsh approaches. Marie Oosthuizen, Bloemfontein
