YOU’RE A PROBLEM PERFECTIONIST
Your perfectionism messes with your overall happiness more than it helps, which can aggravate any underlying mental-health issues. Bring your attention to avoidance behaviours, like giving up new experiences because you’re anxious you’ll suck. Address your fear of failure by targeting skills you believe are important but don’t come naturally to you, like networking or negotiating, even if you feel awks. You’ll also benefit from expanding your domains of selfesteem beyond work, money or appearance. Put time and energy into goals that are not related to performance. What else do you value about yourself? Spending 30 minutes a week on that is a good start.
