DID YOU ENJOY THIS DIET?
Yes, I did not ever feel like I was being deprived of food. The diet also wasn’t more expensive than my regular groceries would be. I did not feel tired or fatigued on it at all, which happens to me quite easily if I don’t eat enough, and I had enough energy to exercise.
WHAT WERE THE DRAWBACKS?
It’s time-consuming to prepare the set meals. It was also sometimes a bit frustrating when you are in the mood for one type of food but you need to eat another. The diet also had larger portions with longer time gaps in between meals. I am used to smaller portions and eating more frequently.
WAS THERE ENOUGH VARIETY?
Yes and I am a meat-lover and many of the meals included meat which I liked.
WAS IT EASY TO STICKTO?
The food was filling and all the ingredients could be found by visiting just two grocery stores.
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT?
If you enjoy carbohydrates the diet is for you, as it has quite a few recipes made with healthy, low-gi and slow-energy release carbs. I ate far more carbohydrates than I would on my usual diet and still lost weight!
WHAT’S YOUR ADVICE?
Don’t feel obliged to eat everything. Find out what works for you and rely on that – but don’t eat more than the diet allows or skip meals/portions and then binge later. Keep your eye on the prize – it’s usually the best motivator to imagine yourself postdiet!
‘I’m proud of myself for sticking to the diet and feel light and trim!’
