500 g thick

boere­wors 250 g streaky

ba­con strips 250 g pit­ted prunes freshly ground

black pep­per

1 Cut the sausage into 15-20 cm long pieces Skewer each length of sausage, pierc­ing only one end Set aside 2 Wrap a strip of ba­con around 2 prunes and thread onto the skew­ers on the in­side of the skew­ered sausage 3 Push the skewer through the other end of the sausage to make a half cir­cle around the prunes 4 Sea­son the ke­babs with pep­per and braai over hot coals, turn­ing con­tin­u­ously un­til cooked, about 15-20 min­utes
