500 g self-rais­ing

flour 5 ml (1 t) salt 3 ml (¾ t) bak­ing

pow­der 1 can (410 g) wholek­er­nel corn, drained 30 ml (2 T) fresh

pars­ley, chopped 500 ml (2 c)

but­ter­milk 200 ml Ched­dar

cheese, grated

1 Pre­heat the oven to 180 °C Grease a 26 cm x 13 cm loaf pan 2 Sift to­gether the flour, salt and bak­ing pow­der Add the corn, pars­ley, but­ter­milk and half the Ched­dar cheese Mix lightly with a fork 3 Spoon the batter into the pre­pared pan Sprin­kle the re­main­ing cheese on top and bake for 1 hour un­til done – a testing skewer in­serted in the mid­dle should come out clean
