Creamy apri­cot chicken

SERVES 4-6 Prepa­ra­tion time: 10 min Cook­ing time: 40-45 min

6 chicken thighs salt and freshly ground black pep­per 15 ml (1 T) oil 1 onion, finely

chopped 100 ml apri­cot jam 250 ml (1 c) apri­cot

juice 30 ml (2 T) brown onion soup pow­der 125 ml (½ c)

may­on­naise 60 ml (¼ c) chut­ney 250 ml (1 c) chicken

stock noo­dles to serve

1 Sea­son the chicken with salt and pep­per 2 Heat the oil in a skot­tel braai and brown the chicken all over Re­move and set aside 3 Fry the onion for a few min­utes, add the rest of the ingredients, ex­cept the noo­dles, and mix well 4 Re­turn the chicken to the skot­tel braai and sim­mer for about 35-40 min­utes un­til the chicken is done 5 Serve with noo­dles
