8 chicken pieces

(legs and thighs) salt and freshly ground black pep­per 15 ml (1 T) oil SAUCE 1 packet (45 g) brown onion soup pow­der 125 ml (½ c)

chut­ney 100 g tomato paste 1 litre (4 c) cola freshly baked bread

to serve

1 Sea­son the chicken with salt and pep­per 2 Heat the oil in a skot­tel braai and brown the chicken all over 3 Sauce Mix to­gether the soup pow­der, chut­ney and tomato paste Add the cola a lit­tle at a time to pre­vent fizzing, and mix well Pour over the chicken and sim­mer gen­tly un­til the chicken is done 4 Serve with freshly baked bread
