Le­mony lit­tle fish

1 kg mul­let (hard­ers), baby hake or springers

(skip­jacks), cleaned and gut­ted

3 gar­lic cloves, crushed juice and zest of 1 lemon

15 ml (1 T) each finely chopped fresh pars­ley

and co­rian­der large pinch each curry pow­der, ground cumin

and turmeric salt and freshly ground pep­per lemon slices to serve 1 Put the fish in a large shal­low glass dish.

2 Mix the rest of the in­gre­di­ents ex­cept the lemon slices. Pour over the fish and mar­i­nate for 1 hour.

3 Braai over mod­er­ate coals for 15-20 min­utes or un­til the fish is just done.

4 Serve with lemon slices.
