Braaiing 3 pineap­ples

60 ml (¼ c) lemon juice

1 can (385 g) con­densed milk 2 egg yolks

2 ba­nanas ice cream to serve

1 Peel the pineap­ples but keep the tops in place. Halve length­ways and scoop out the core of each pineap­ple half. Braai over mod­er­ate coals un­til browned.

2 Whisk the lemon juice, con­densed milk and egg yolks to­gether un­til thick­ened. Spoon into the pineap­ples.

3 Lightly braai the ba­nanas for about 2 min­utes, slice and di­vide among the pineap­ple halves.

4 Serve with ice cream.
