Frying pan brownies
250 ml (1 c) sugar
250 ml (1 c) cake flour
125 ml (½ c) cocoa powder pinch of salt
60 ml (¼ c) cream
150 g dark chocolate, broken into pieces ice cream to serve
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
1 Beat the sugar and eggs together in a large bowl.
2 In a separate bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder and salt together.
3 Melt the butter with the cream in a castiron pan, add the dark chocolate pieces and stir until melted. Cool for 5 minutes.
4 Add the melted chocolate to the egg mixture and mix. Fold in the flour mixture.
5 Clean the cast-iron pan, grease with butter and pour in the batter.
6 Bake for 15-20 minutes or until set but still slightly runny in the middle. Serve with ice cream.
