Ke­babs over the coals

12 chicken wings, tips re­moved


30 ml (2 T) oil 45 ml (3 T) soy sauce 5 ml (1 t) xyl­i­tol 1 gar­lic clove, chopped 1 onion, chopped juice and zest of 1 le­mon 10 ml (2 t) grated ginger sesame seeds, for sprin­kling on top


¼ cu­cum­ber, diced ½ small onion, diced 2 red chillies, chopped 60 ml (¼ c) each xyl­i­tol & white grape vine­gar

1 Ke­babs Thread the wings onto skew­ers. 2 Mari­nade Mix the in­gre­di­ents, pour over the wings and mar­i­nate for 1 hour. Braai un­til done and scat­ter the seeds over. 3 Dip Mix the in­gre­di­ents. Serve with the ke­babs.
