Should they marry, Meghan – along with her beloved res­cue dogs, Bog­art and Guy – will be ex­pected to give up her home in Toronto and join Harry at Not­ting­ham Cot­tage, his Kens­ing­ton Palace pad in London.

The cosy cot­tage is nowhere near as lav­ish as Wil­liam and Kate’s 22-room Apart­ment 1A next door, but should suit the new­ly­weds just fine – at least un­til the pit­ter-pat­ter of lit­tle feet comes along.

It has two rooms, two re­cep­tion rooms and a small court­yard gar­den for the dogs – al­though they’d have the run of the sprawl­ing gar­dens when Meghan takes them for walks.

The queen, a be­sot­ted dog-lover, is hardly likely to ob­ject to Meghan bring­ing her pooches along to the palace.
