The women who could bring down Trump
Donald Trump has been implicated in hotel hook-ups and threesomes by women who are dying to spill the beans
SHE thought she was being asked on a dinner date. But as soon as she stepped into Donald Trump’s hotel suite she became aware he had other ideas. The woman, who was dressed to the nines in anticipation of an evening out at a fancy restaurant, found America’s future president sprawled on a couch wearing pyjama bottoms.
“I just thought we’d relax here,” he told her.
After dinner in the suite she found out exactly what form of relaxation the billionaire had in mind. She went to the bathroom and when she came out she found him sitting on the bed waiting for her. “He was, like, ‘Come here.’ And I was, like, ‘Ugh, here we go’.”
Ever since Trump became president his critics have been waiting for him to crash and burn. It was just a matter of time, they said – if it’s not evidence of his collusion with the Russians to rig the US elections it’s going to be his dodgy business dealings or his late-night tweets.
But it seems the thing that might ultimately trip up Trump (71) is far more salacious than anyone could ever have imagined. It’s a porn star named Stormy Daniels.
She’s the woman who says Trump invited her to his hotel room on that fateful evening in 2006. They’d met earlier in the day on a golf course at Lake Tahoe on the California-Nevada border. Now 12 years later she’s itching to spill the beans about the encounter, which she says led to an affair that went on for months under the nose of Trump’s wife, Melania, who’d just given birth to their son, Barron.
While the president is said to be doing everything in his power to shut her up it seems it’s too late. Annoyed at how she’s been treated, Daniels (39) – who was once one of the porn industry’s biggest stars – has been sharing sordid details of their alleged affair with all and sundry.
And while her claims may sound farfetched there are three more women who are backing her up: two other porn stars and a Playboy centrefold model.
Their lurid accounts of Trump’s alleged antics make former president Bill Clinton’s shenanigans with White House intern Monica Lewinsky look tame. Little wonder there are those who are predicting it could lead to Trump’s impeachment and spell the end of his presidency.
IN 2006 Trump probably never imagined anything he did at the charity tournament would come back to haunt him. Back then the business tycoon was riding the crest of the wave thanks to his reality show, The Apprentice, which had cemented his place as a celebrity.
When he was invited to Lake Tahoe it seems golf was the last thing on his mind. Karen McDougal (47), a former nursery teacher who was Playboy’s Playmate of the Year in 1998, claims he also had sex with her that weekend.
By that point, she says, their ninemonth affair was already in full swing.
They’d met a few months earlier at a party at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles and she says Trump often flew her across the country for hook-ups.
She claims he introduced her to members of his family and gave her a tour of his apartment in Trump Tower in New York, making no secret of the fact he and his wife slept in separate bedrooms.
“[He] said [Melania] liked her space to read or be alone,” she adds.
When Trump was running for presi-
dent in 2016 she sold her story to National Enquirer for $150 000 (then about R2 million) but the article never ran – the tabloid’s owner, David Pecker, is a close friend of Trump and there’s speculation he decided to axe it.
Nevertheless the allegations of his dalliances with porn stars just won’t go away.
Jessica Drake (43), who’s starred with Daniels in porn films, claims that during the golf weekend Trump made unwelcome sexual advances towards her.
She and former The Apprentice star Summer Zervos are among the scores of women represented by attorney Gloria Allred who’ve made sexual misconduct allegations against the sitting president (see article on page 96).
Drake was at the event working a promotional booth on behalf of adult film company Wicked Pictures and caught Trump’s eye. He then invited her to his room, she says.
“I said I didn’t feel right going alone so two other women came with me. He grabbed each of us tightly and kissed each one of us without asking permission.”
She claims Trump later phoned her and offered her $10 000 (then R70 000) for sex.
“This isn’t acceptable behaviour for anyone, much less a presidential candidate,” she says.
But Trump didn’t allow her rejection to dampen his sexual ardour. Alana Evans (41), another porn star who was at the event, claims he offered her money to join him and Daniels for a threesome.
She refused but when she encountered Daniels the following day she was eager to hear the juicy details of what had gone down.
“She tells me, ‘All I’m going to say is that I ended up with Donald in his hotel room. Picture him chasing me around his hotel room in his tighty whities’,” Evans recalls. “I was, like, ‘Oh, I really didn’t need to hear that’.”
Of all the women, Daniels (real name Stephanie Clifford) has been the most outspoken about Trump – despite a gag order, she gave an extensive interview to In Touch Weekly magazine.
She describes the sex as “textbook generic”.
“He wasn’t trying to have, like, porn sex, you know. It was one position; what you would expect someone his age to do.”
DANIELS, who’s starred in porn movies with titles such as Missionary Impossible and Breast Side Story, says although their affair lasted only a few months Trump was smitten. He continued phoning her until 2010, promising her a role in his reality show.
But when he was running for president he went out of his way to distance himself, she says.
Just 10 days before the 2016 election she was paid $130 000 (then R1,7 million) to sign a nondisclosure agreement.
Daniels is now trying to get out of this agreement, arguing that Trump’s personal lawyer and spokesperson, Michael Cohen, used force and intimidation to make her sign it.
There are rumours that Trump had similar agreements in place with many other women. But if he paid off Daniels it could open a can of worms and even pave the way for his impeachment.
If it can be shown that the payment was made with the intention to silence Daniels so she couldn’t tell a story that could have hurt Trump’s presidential candidacy, it would be a serious violation of US election law.
These salacious tales are also taking a serious toll on Trump’s 13-year marriage.
In the past few months Melania has pulled out of several high-profile appearances and events, including accompanying her husband to the World Economic Summit in Davos, Switzerland, in January.
Many may wonder how much humiliation the first lady can take. Well, they’re about to find out because Daniels has announced she’s planning to dish even more dirt.
“I think it’s time for her to tell her story,” her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, says, “and for the public to decide who’s telling the truth.”
