Roxy and Neil decided to take their wedding photos before the ceremony. “It helped to get the initial emotions out of the way and it also gave us more time to spend with our guests enjoying the canapés, instead of being away for photos,” Roxy says. The canapés were served outside, while a traditional minstrel band, The Muscadels, provided the entertainment, before everyone moved inside for the reception. A tower of cheese with preserves and glazed nuts served as their wedding cake. “It went down very well at midnight when everyone was peckish. And we had cheese for ages thereafter, while we feel a wedding cake is often wasted,” the bride says.
