The reception was catered by Johnny Ham­man and Mar­ius Uys of Slip­pery Spoon Kitchen. Braai sta­tions of­fered snacks such as lamb chops with gar­lic aioli, grid­dle cakes and seafood. Later guests were treated to meals such as tra­di­tional bobotie, grilled fil­let with béar­naise sauce and Johnny and Mar­ius’ fa­mous fish pie made with a hot cross bun crust and fen­nel and ca­per sauce. Dessert was milk tarts, fresh wa­ter­melon and malva pud­ding treats.
