500 g small Rosa toma­toes, halved 1 red onion, finely chopped 1 red chilli with seeds, finely chopped 150 g soft brown sugar 90 ml (6 T) red wine vine­gar 5 ml (1 t) fresh rose­mary leaves, chopped

1 Put all the in­gre­di­ents in a heavy-based saucepan. 2 Bring to the boil while stir­ring all the time. Re­duce the heat and sim­mer un­cov­ered for 30-40 min­utes or un­til thick and jam-like and no longer runny.
