THE Em­pan­geni SPCA have a large num­ber of lov­able ca­nine hairy friends look­ing for long last­ing fam­ily homes.

The lo­cal non-profit or­gan­i­sa­tion is open Mon­day to Fri­day from 8am to 3pm, Satur­day 9am to mid­day and closed on Sun­days and pub­lic hol­i­days.

All one has to do is pay the lo­cal or­gan­i­sa­tion a visit, pick a pet and fill out an adop­tion form.

A pre-in­spec­tion of one’s property will then be com­pleted and if it meets all the cri­te­ria, a once off fee of R750 (dogs) or R450 (cats) is paid and the an­i­mal gets sent to its new lov­ing home af­ter ster­il­i­sa­tion.
