Do­na­tion en­ables stron­groom re­vamp

MBUYISENI High School in KwaDlangezwa put R100 000 to good use by re­fur­bish­ing the school’s stron­groom.

The school was awarded the money as part of Richards Bay

Coal Ter­mi­nal’s (RBCT) cor­po­rate so­cial in­vest­ment ini­tia­tive af­ter the school’s good 2017 aca­demic per­for­mance an­nounced at the King Cetshwayo Dis­trict ex­cel­lence awards.

The school could utilise the money for any main­te­nance projects, and Prin­ci­pal Zikhali and School Gov­ern­ing Body mem­bers voted unan­i­mously for the up­grad­ing of the school’s stron­groom to pre­vent fu­ture break-ins.

This af­ter Mbuyiseni pre­vi­ously ex­pe­ri­enced items be­ing stolen dur­ing break-ins.

King Cetshwayo Dis­trict Di­rec­tor for ed­u­ca­tion, David Chonco, ex­pressed his grat­i­tude to­wards RBCT for their con­tin­ued in­vest­ment in ed­u­ca­tion, and fur­ther ap­pealed to the school to keep up the good work.

In re­sponse, Prin­ci­pal Zikhali promised to en­sure qual­ity per­for­mance and im­prove­ment.
