Donation enables strongroom revamp
MBUYISENI High School in KwaDlangezwa put R100 000 to good use by refurbishing the school’s strongroom.
The school was awarded the money as part of Richards Bay
Coal Terminal’s (RBCT) corporate social investment initiative after the school’s good 2017 academic performance announced at the King Cetshwayo District excellence awards.
The school could utilise the money for any maintenance projects, and Principal Zikhali and School Governing Body members voted unanimously for the upgrading of the school’s strongroom to prevent future break-ins.
This after Mbuyiseni previously experienced items being stolen during break-ins.
King Cetshwayo District Director for education, David Chonco, expressed his gratitude towards RBCT for their continued investment in education, and further appealed to the school to keep up the good work.
In response, Principal Zikhali promised to ensure quality performance and improvement.
