Great en­ter­tain­ment at school Grade R fun day

THE in­clement weather on Fri­day morn­ing failed to put a dam­per on the an­nual Gran­tham Park Pri­mary School Grade R Fun Day, which saw par­ents and pupils en­joy a num­ber of chal­leng­ing games.

The day’s fes­tiv­i­ties started off with the Sharkie Pa­rade, where pupils sang two songs and en­ter­tained their par­ents with music teacher Bon­gani Ndlovu.

Four groups then com­peted in the beach ball and bean bag race, hula hoop race, spade and ball race, fill the bucket race with par­ents and flat race be­fore a short in­ter­val.

Af­ter the in­ter­val the girls com­peted in a hockey match, with the boys con­test­ing a soc­cer match be­fore the clos­ing cer­e­mony.
