THE Mick Kelly Park grandstand - named after the man they were honouring - was overflowing on

Friday as the Zululand community and provincial rugby fraternity said a final farewell to Chris ‘CJ’ Edwards.

Representatives from the KZN Rugby Union travelled from Durban, and wellwishes were read out from around the world, before an array of close friends each took the time to pay tribute to the man they unanimously agreed was a ‘legend’.

Chris, who leaves his daughters Margot, Janice and Rozy, passed away peacefully at his Empangeni home last Sunday morning, following a long illness.
