Soak­ing swim­ming ac­tion in Richards Bay

FIVE swim­ming clubs braved the cold weather to com­pete in the

Fish Ea­gles Short Course gala held at the Ar­bore­tum mu­nic­i­pal swim­ming pool on Satur­day, with the main aim of clock­ing qual­i­fy­ing times for var­i­ous level and na­tional galas com­ing up towards the end of the 2018/2019 sea­son.

Fish Ea­gles, uShaka Swim­ming Club, Pon­gola Swim Acad­emy,

Toti Ti­tans and Pen­quins Swim Club mem­bers aged U9 to Open com­peted on the day.

A group of multi-dis­abil­ity swim­mers used this event as tri­als to qual­ify for the KZN team to go to SA Schools later on in the sea­son.

These tor­pe­doed in­di­vid­u­als will be back in ac­tion on Satur­day 10 Novem­ber when they com­pete in the Age Group 2 gala at the Ar­bore­tum mu­nic­i­pal swim­ming pool.
